new business model ‘annoyium’

Forget micro-payments, ad supported, freemium, and premium business models as there’s a brand new way to monetize your web 2.0 start up currently being pioneered by Spotify , ‘annoyium’. Clearly not financially fulfilled with the combination of a premium and ad supported model they’ve stepped it up a gear.
After firstly tapping into my brain to correctly identify Zane Lowe as someone I’d rather spend time sticking nails in my ears than listen to advertising products every ad break; they’re now forcing me to endure recorded messages of listeners inanely gibbering on about how much they love Spotify. If there was every anything to drive me to purchase a premium upgrade it would be a heady combination of Mr Lowe’s “Excuse me this won’t take a minute” and office workers whooping and cheering every sodding ad break. Now if only twitter had the smarts to find a way to bug people into a premium account upgrade…
